Jan Percival Lipscomb, President

Educated in San Diego at Point Loma High School and a journalism/radio & television graduate of University of Arizona, Percival Lipscomb is highly regarded in the San Diego community as a communications leader.

After editing BUILDER magazine for the Building Industry Association and working as V.P. of Public Relations at Roni Hicks & Associates, she launched Scribe Communications in 1986.

Because we have worked as editors and reporters ourselves, we know how to recognize a story and how to pitch it effectively. We respect the media, we know the rules and we conduct ourselves with integrity. That’s why we successfully engage our clients in new opportunities and forge long-term relationships with print and broadcast outlets,” says Percival Lipscomb.

"Each client gets the same highly trained team:  I take the lead with clients and media, backed by Senior Account Executive Kathy Klassen and Associate Account Executive Christie Farrell. We have a stable of some of the best free lance journalists in San Diego who join our team, regularly and consistently, as needed."
